I'm bugging a few firefighters in that area already and trying to see what kind of racing goes on. From the sounds of it, there is ice racing but mostly involves quads, and not a very big race scene otherwise.

Back from the desert and finally working on the Talon. Installed the roof rack and picked up my wheels. I'll be swapping my 225/45-17 Pilot Sports onto the Evo 8 set and put my Centerlines into storage. This week I'm hoping to install the Hotbits and get the car aligned.

Which roof each is that? I just picked up another 1g and would like to put a roof rack on it as well. I can't wait to see yours with the coilovers.

It's a full Yakima set. I used the Yakima site to get the suggested components and then amazon/ebay to piece it together. Hardest part to find was the clips that attach the towers to the car.

38" wind fairing
48" bars
4 Q towers
Q36 clips
Amazon Amazon

I still need to get locks for the towers and mess with the fitment, but looks like it'll work great.

How much did the Hotbits set you back?

I don't remember off the top of my head, but they were around 2g. I worked with Perer from Hotbits to get a kit together, and left off the top hats to save some money. He suggested I run OEM top hats so I'm tearing apart an old set and cleaning them up before installing them.

Had a small setback that ate some time. I'm switching to an Evo 02 housing and a better fitting downpipe; old setup decided it didn't want to come out easy and ended up with a broken bolt in the exhaust side of the turbo. WB O2 sensor also was KIA so I'm waiting on a replacement to show up before I can drive it to my friend's shop to install the Hotbits.

While I've been waiting, I swapped my tires onto the evo 8 wheels and installed them, gone though the rest of the exhaust system putting a plan together to replace the fart fan, and pulled the lower trim off the car replacing 3M tape.

Was that $2k for the full set of 4? If so that's great to hear, as I'm gonna probably be looking at getting a pair of fronts sometime this year. Team O'Neil wants about $1k a corner for their Bilstein 46mm dampers custom fit to my car, and that basically leaves just the K-Sport/D2's (who won't sell me just a front pair) or hardcore stuff like DMS (which would cost about 4 times what my car is worth as it sits). $1000-1100 for a pair that I can throw some oem hats on would be perfect.

Also, great choice on the Vibrant stuff. I've had that same muffler on my GS for about 2 years now, coupled with a pair of their resonators and a HFC. Even now with a pair of silencers shoved in the tips, it gets compliments. I'm still surprised at how many people thought I had the turbo model because of the deep tone.
