Ross from Brisbane Australia.
I have a 1989 J Spec VR4 Gravel Rally car.
Forged Mahle pistons, Manley rods and crank, Group 'A' cam grind, Autronic SMC, 3" pipe from turbo outlet to rear, 'hotdog' muffler. Evo brakes front VR4 rears with Pagid pads.
Yet to be dynoed following a rebuild.
Cheers
Ross

Welcome to the site other side of the world! I've been following your car and progress for a long time on other sites and I'm glad to see you posting on here!

It's great to see you still using the VR4, Mitsubishi's immediate WRC predecessor to the original Evolution. For those that don't know, pre-1992 Mitsubishi was rallying the Galant VR4 with its 4G63 power plant, AWD, and 4-wheel steering. They needed something lighter to have a shot at a WRC Chanpionship so the took the smaller, lighter Lancer platform, stuffed the Galant VR4 engine and drivetrain (minus the 4-wheel steering which was dropped for weight) and the Lancer Evolution was born! 6 years later Mitsubishi won its ever WRC Manufacturers Championship!

So Ross, any upcoming events with your VR4?

Thumbs up

Hi, I'm Michael from the Philippines. Big Evo fan here but I drive a '76 1st gen Lancer. I got it all stock but I gave it that rally car look about a year ago. Evo's here are quite expensive so I'm sticking to this one until I can afford a current generation Lancer. That's how much I love this brand and this car.
