Default About to start in Rallyx

Picked up an Evo 8 (2003) in April to run in Prepared classes through SCCA events. July 16th will be my first time competing in the car, through a class and race program at Dirtfish.
The car when I bought it had a good amount of modification already done:
Perrin Turbo Back
Perrin 3.5" Intercooler
Flossy knob
RRE Tune
Agency Power StrideSeven Wheels
PTE 1200cc Injectors
Autometer Liquid Boost Gauge
Short Antenna
Vortex Generator
Amber Turb Signals
Rally Armor
Mitsu Window Visor
Nokya Yellow Fogs
Remote Start
Agency Power Shifter Bushings
Short Shifter
Shifter Base Bushings
Injen UICP Kit
Grimspeed 3-port
Walbro 255 Fuel Pump
ACT Stage 2 Clutch
Giro Disk Cross Drilled/Slotted Rotors
Giro Disk Magic Brake Pads
Braided Brake Lines
Fender Washer Kit Purple Anodized
Battery Relocation Kit

Ended up having to fix the front passenger side suspension, as it had a bad pull to the right and bad wear that showed both caster and camber issues with that corner. Ended up bring it to a reputable shop to have a tune-up and Master Bushing Kit installed.
The tune-up and bushing kit included:
Timing & Balance Belt
Timing Belt Pulley
Belt tensioner
Idler Pulley
Serpentine Belt
Water Pump Gasket
Water Pump
Tie Rod ends
Ball Joints
Transmission Flush
Rear Differential Flush
Front control arm bushing set
Front Sway Bar Bushings
Rear Trailing Arm Bushings
Rear Spiral Sway Bar Bushings
Rear Differential / Mustache Bar Bushings

And then picked up a set of Hankook Ventus S1 Noble2 (255/40 15) the day before I headed out to volunteer at the Olympus rally.
I have some minor things to do before the rallyx including getting a set of OEM wheels and snow tires, wiring up my tanabe boost gauge, swapping out the perrin air filter.

Did it! Didn't place, and am not sure of where I am out of the 19 participants in my class. However I learned a lot and am addicted to it now (seriously work on Monday was the worst thing in the world, worse than normal).

Awesome! Seems like you picked up and good car and have done a lot of great maintenance on it that will keep you both boosting and happy! I'm glad you made t out to the Rallyx! Any other mitsubishi's there?

P.s. I can't see the pics, it's just says photo not available. Perhaps the site you linked them from has moved them.

There was only one other Evo 8 there, too many of the Evo owners out here are all about the power and not much else; though we do have some of the only Evo rally drivers in America (I think). haha
Since then I competed at one other event, though I did not do well due to a dnf on my first lap, throttle was interrupted by gauge boxes bouncing in the way, and my original shocks are shot so badly any little bump sounds like (as my gf puts it) "its punching itself in the face". Im getting set of fortune 600 coils in a couple weeks though, so that should be resolved.

As for the pictures, Ill try to fix them. Im not sure why they've disappeared since their in my flickr albums. Ill also post photos, and videos, from this past event!

Picked up a TRF Skid plate for the last race of the season. The only issues I have with it is the mounting brackets are very close to my intercooler (3.5" IC) and you should not jack up the car with it, with out modification.

It did its job though.

Here are some photos from this past event. Was a very long drive south for me and my crew, but was an enjoyable day. Had a DNF that put me out of contention due to "computer" boxes for my plx device gauges bouncing in the way of my throttle.

I also didnt feel comofortable going fast due to a large thumping noise on every bump. Hopefully getting coilovers will fix that issue, as the rest of the suspension has been checked out and the car is still on original shocks.

We also had snow last week, so I took the car out for a little fun.
