Default Wheel well liners

The last rallycross was ROUGH! So rough that my tires ate my wheel well liners. As you can see from the photos, there is allot of important stuff that need protected on the X. I'm hurriedly making some new liners for the race on Saturday. This is what I've got so far.

I'm using a 1/8" thick UHMW sheet. The black plastic piece is only temporary and will be replaced with a piece of UHMW that will tie into the skidplate. I'm also making pieces for the underside of the bumper corners that will tie into the skidplate and front of the wheel well liners.

I used 3/8" hex bolts to mount everything so no more flimsy plastic push clips. It has really firmed up my front bumper which I had to clip back on after each run before. They are tucked way up in the fender too so tons of wheel travel now.

I had planned on drilling some holes for air flow through the oil coolers but after looking at their placement I decided that I'll have to just relocate them to the top of the front bumper. They are way to vulnerable hanging out on the corners like they are now.

These look great. When you made the new liner for the front-right, did you vent it for the oil-cooler?

Not yet. I figured out how I want to do it I just haven't gotten around to it yet. I'll update with pics once I get it done, probably next month since we're taking a break from rallycross here due to the heat.

An awesome job.
How long did they last until they need replacing?
