My brother has a 3-plug USDM EVO 8 ECU lying around. Only drawback is you'd have to pay to Fedex it from the Caribbean to the US. Probably $50-$80 US for the shipping alone. Let me know if you're interested.

By the way, are you planning on replacing the 5 ECU with an 8?

Thanks for letting me know, but as you figured that is a bit much in shipping. I actually found one here in the states today that I just purchased.

I am replacing the V ECU with the VIII ECU. It turns out the V ECU isn't OBDII so the US OBDII readers can't communicate with it, which is something I need.

Just a heads up - if you end up with a 3-plug ecu for a 4-plug harness, you'll need an adapter and you also will have to re route the pins in your harness.

Pinouts incase you need them:

Thanks for the heads up! Luckily they are both 4 plug ECU's. I removed 2 pins swapped a pair of wires and now just need to disable the immobilizer and hopefully it will work!
