Default Evo n00b from Ohio

What's up guys. I had a 2008 wrx hatch that was my dd/rally x car. Just picked up an 08 gsr. I run in PA with the ovr/wor regions.

I haven't yet, we have a few more events this season but the damn car needs a clutch so I'm shooting to have it done by the end of this month for the two day race we have in September. Haven't been able to race much at all this season. Twice in my friends Miata. I'm excited to race the evo though, I won second in our regional championship in pa last year. Would like to see how I can handle a car that's more responsive.

I'll take some better pics. That's all I have on the iPad. For now I'm gonna keep It stock and on snow tires

Welcome to the site! I'm going to start on the transmission on my Evo this weekend (hopefully pulling it out tomorrow) and I'm planning on replacing the clutch while I'm in there. I'm looking forward to seeing more pictures and your progress!

Haha the red is actually what sold me on the Subaru. Turns out it's kind of a rare color. The e28 was going to be my mod rear car but sadly I didn't have time for it and sold it. Regrets.. I am thinking it's the stock clutch, it doesn't feel like an upgraded one. If it was modded by the PO, they did a very good job going back to stock.

Thanks! I'm just going the lazy route and having someone do it for me. I feel like it will get done faster that way and I can race it before the season ends as we don't really have much for winter rally x here in Central Ohio.

Sounds like a great plan. Do you know what clutch you are going to go with?

I'm kind of just thinking Oem replacement from exedy. That or their "stage 1" hd clutch. I don't need or want anything crazy. I don't ever plan on the car making big power
